The picture to the left is of Alice and Harry Bellisle. We lost Alice this morning. Alice and Harry were my friends and mentors. Harry taught me everything I know about working in a racing kennel. Alice was just plain a sweetheart. This picture was taken by me on a happy day. Harry and Alice were my guests at Talladega for the NASCAR race. Alice and Harry ran some of Tony Stewart's dogs and I was taking them to his hauler to go meet him in person. I remember Tony being SO happy to meet them in person. To Tony THEY were celebritys! We went up in the lounge of the hauler and Alice sat next to Tony and the smile never left her face. Even though they lived nearby in Trussville, AL they made a vacation out of their weekend at the racetrack and stayed with our raceteam at the hotel. I regret the fact that after I started the farm I was unable to spend the time with them in the kennel that I had in the past. They might not know this but I thought of them often. I pray that Harry and his children will get through this incredibly tough time in their lives. I will miss Alice, her smile, her laugh and her soul. Rest in peace girl.

This is a photo of Red Thunder's firstborn sons out of My Lil Mouse. They are one and a half weeks old in the picture and their eyes are already open! Huge baby boys! Congrats to Dottie and Tony Morris on such a healthy litter!

Congrats to Nominators Henry Howe and Doug Allen for their entry, San Tan Rafe. Rafe has 24 points and is tied for 6th place in his quest for the Derby Lane Million. Rafe runs for the D'Arcy Kennel. Go Rafe!

Doug Allen's other entry, Reckless Kelly did not make the 3rd round cut of the Million and has been relocated to the Cahill and O'Connor Kennel to prepare for the upcoming Palm Beach Grand Classic in May. Best of luck to Doug and Kelly.

We welcome Honest Emigrant* to our brood lineup. She is a 2003 Spiral Nikita bitch. I was very pleased with her upon her arrival and look forward to a litter in the future out of her.

We want to thank Greyhound Crossroads for their efforts....they have already placed Blood Sister aka "Martha" in a foster home who is WAITING for her site unseen! Way to go GC!!!!

A reminder that Dr. Barber and family are on a much needed vacation this week and she will not be doing any implants between 2/17 and 2/24. If your female came in season BEFORE 2/14 she will either need a fresh AI or have other arrangements made. We are sorry for the inconvience but we all need a vacation once in a while!! I am working on getting the endoscope up and running and once I do, Dr. Barber and I will be able to cover for each other.

For those of you who have inquired about Ozzie. He is doing fantastic. He settled right back in and follows me everywhere. He asks that you vote for him for the Rural Rube Award. The card is enclosed in this months Review. He also asks that you vote for his buddy, Extruding Dream for the Flashy Sir Award! :-)

Good luck to everyone tonight in the 3rd Round of the Million!

Red Thunder is a daddy!!! His first litter by My Lil Mouse was whelped this weekend. He has three HUGE healthy sons weighing in at 1.5# at birth! Proud owners are Dottie and Tony Morris. These babies will be raised by the Morris' down in West Palm Beach! Congrats!!!
Motorhead ran his first maiden start at Derby Lane this afternoon. He got into a bunch of trouble in the first turn and was 6th entering the backstretch. He ended up making a paycheck by finishing 4th. I am happy with his effort. First time in the jinny pit and he showed a lot of heart.
Mad Rush Home for Brett and Robertearlkeen for Doug Allen are due to arrive this afternoon at the Cahill and O'Connor Kennel in Palm Beach. Beau and Belle for Linda Russi will be arriving at PTL Kennel and Cat, Bet and Buddy for Henry Howe will be entering the BJ Kennel all at Jacksonville. Bokars Red Flyer and Danica Driver will both be arriving at the D'Arcy Kennel at St.Pete.
We have purchased the Irish female, Honest Emigrant* and look forward to her arrival this weekend as well. We are looking at breeding her to either Fortress Blue or Fine Silver*.
Dr. Barber will be on vacation February 17-24. Any females that come in season between Feb. 3-12th will be only for fresh AI to studs here on the farm. This is her first vacation in 2 years and she apologizes for the inconvinience. Star and I will still have access to Antech and will still be able to run progesterone tests.
On a sad note Dolly Madison aborted her litter. She is in good health and good spirits and will hopefully have a healthy litter in the future.
Fine Silver*'s first born are expected March 1st. This is a very highly anticipated litter as it will include our Raceforadoption pup to benefit Greyhound Crossroads.
Qualifying races for the DerbyLane Million begin this Sat. Good Luck to hometown Nominators Henry Howe and Doug Allen!
