As you can see from our homepage Farloe Black* will be joining us here next week. Black is an incredible coup for this country as he was highly regarded in Ireland as a desirable stud prospect. Black dominated last years Irish Derby rounds and was unlucky in the semi. He came back in the Derby Consolation to win in a faster time than the Derby winner himself. From there he broke the track record at his home track of Lifford, came back and broke it again. A gracillus muscle tear, although repaired, proved to be career ending after a come back in the 2008 English Derby. The "Lifford Flyer" will facilitate the 75/25 Breeding Theory. Please watch the Roper Report for an indepth look at what the 75/25 Breeding Theory is and some historic examples of why this works and why a dog like Farloe Black who himself is half American will provide American breeders with the 75/25 cross.

Hometown Boy and Group Rooster* have both been flying off the shelves as of late. Hometown Boy's, sire, Stans Boy Flyer has recently been talked about as "the" Gable Dodge son. His untimely death let this country with only a handful of vials at best. Hometown Boy and his litterbrother, Brady Thomas should be the obvious choice for anyone wishing that they had bred to Stans Boy Flyer and didn't.

This is proving to be an incredibly busy week for us here. We are trying to get semen expedited as quickly as we can. I had a bitch in for Rooster and had to forego a freeze in order to breed her. I plan on freezing him again tomorrow and will have semen at EZ Greyhound by next Wed. If anyone needs Judy to have it sooner than that, call her, immediately, and I will get it shipped out.

The Busman and Balakas Rumbles ARE at Southland.....keep your eyes peeled for them to pop up to official school any time now!

Pictured is a cute Maryville Rumble* pup. Doug Allen's litters of Rumbles are all running in the upper grades at the incredibly tough Tri-State greyhound park. Congrats to Doug Allen on his pups accomplishments so far! Word from our friend, Tim Balakas is that his highly touted litter of Rumbles are in fact sitting in the Southland compound right now. They will begin morning work this week. They are already up on Track Data. They are very highly anticipated. We see that Tracey Wildey of the Seastrom Kennel has her Rumbles out of the nice bitch, Pooches Gracies schooling on at Dubuque today. There are many, many exciting new litters of Rumbles that will be hitting tracks everywhere in the next few weeks.
Group Rooster*......is flying! I have only done one breeding here to him to an outside female. The rest are at other facilities! The female I have here is an Irish born and raised, Pat Dalton female. By the end of net week Rooster will have been bred 5 times already! Unreal start to his stud career!
Hometown Boy is also picking up the pace. We bred one here for the McMillon Kennel and I am hearing that Judy Jones down at the EZ Greyhound Farm in Terrell, TX has one in for him as well. Good luck to all with their "Boy" pups! I bet anyone who breeds to him will be back for more!!!
Our very first trans cervical implant was a hit! I got the call this AM. She is showing. That gives me the confidence to move forward with this full time.
In the next couple of days we should have the Group Rooster sire video done. I have looked at the rough copy and as usual - another hit for Chris Stivers!
I have also recieved another very important overseas email that I have been waiting for since last year. We may have a very big and very important announcement to make in the coming week. Keep checking back regularly for an announcement!

We had a nice visit today from Ron Clark of the Country Roads Kennel. It was a pleasure to meet Ron in person and show him around the farm. But along with Ron came Greys Concourse....littersister to of course..the Million Dollar girl....Greys Calibrator. Miss Concourse will be of course be going to Mr. Rumble! A dream litter in the making! Best of luck to Brent and Ron and the entire Country Roads crew on their upcoming litter!

Toxic Rocket will be in permenent residence as of tomorrow. We will get some updated pics of him and post them right here! Toxic Rocket pups have been turning heads as of late and it was time that he take up residence here on the farm to accomodate our Tri-State breeders especially!

We sent a HUGE load of semen to Dr. Law today. Included is Hometown Boy and Group Rooster*! We have also replenished his supply of Fine Silver*, Swahili Eile* and Maryville Rumble*! The next load of Rooster semen will be sent to EZ Greyhound Farm in Terrell, TX.

We have been very busy again with visiting broods in and out. We cannot thank our clients enough.

Pictured is Hanks Cody aka "Cowboy". Cowboy has quietly been racking up grade A win after grade A win whilst his famous kennelmate, Take It Over continues to dominate the spotlight. Congrats to Henry Howe on BOTH of these young males. You can see both in the upcoming $50,000 stakes at Jacksonville.

It has been a very, very successful race week for Maryville Rumble* with multiple wins from the repeat breeding to Valoris, headlined by a dramatic come from behind win in the rain by Evening Blossom. The entire litter is showing it's winning ways. But older full brother, Ebor Hero, showed they weren't the only ones who could win this week. Winning a route for the Magic City kennel was Cynthia Smoot as well. There are a whopping TEN Rumble pups on tonight across the country. We wish all the owners continued success with their Rumblers!

Swahili Eile.....this guy is definately the darkhorse out in the stud barn. He has been racking up breedings all over the country. Word is that the people who have Eile pups....LOVE THEM. "Blade" here on the farm has been tagged as "one to watch". He is showing tons of early pace but can run all day. We are targeting this boy for DerbyLane in the spring.

We have tattooed the Swahili Eile x Jr's Prelude litter and all pups are now picked by their new owners. We wish everyone luck with their Eile babies.

Doug Allen and I have purchased Greys Pistolfire and Greys Nordic Ice from Mary Butler. The plan is to breed "Icee" to Group Rooster* and Pistol to Hometown Boy.

Speaking of Hometown Boy.... he will have semen at most locations by next week and was just bred here by the McMillon kennel.

Group Rooster* semen will be at Dr. Laws early next week and as soon as my tank is back I will be sending semen to EZ Greyhound farm. Rooster has broods waiting at both locations.

I have done several TCI's this week and I am getting more confident each time. I am really enjoying the process and the broods really seem to be at ease with the endoscope. We will see what the fruits of my labor bring in about 60 days!

Don't forget to check out Chris' Cache for the latest replays. The Roper Report is on vacation this week.

Well wishes out to our own Chris Stivers...he underwent surgery earlier this week.

Group Rooster* is here! Paperwork has been sent off to the NGA and we should have semen available on him next week! First shipment will be going to Dr. Law. I have already collected him to evaluate his semen and everything looks perfect. I cannot say enough about this dog's incredible attitude. He has taken everything in stride and is as laid back and loving as a dog could possibly be. Everyone who meets him is enamoured with him.

Great big thanks to Laurie Kraynick for picking Rooster up at the Boston airport and caring for him for a couple of days and taking him at o'dark thirty in the AM to meet our hauler, Kevin Blaske.

Pictured is Dr. Elizabeth Paquette and Thundering Dude. "Dude" is the first offspring of Red Thunder to hit the track. I have heard great things about this youngster. Watch for him to be breaking in soon at the Palm Beach Kennel Club!

HOT HOT HOT.....Toxic Rocket pups are kicking butt down in Palm Beach! I would love to see some Rocket pups at Southland as these "come from behind" youngsters run them down in dramatic fashion! If you were a fan of Oshkosh Slammer...you need to take a look at Rocket and add him to your breeding program. I feel he would be the perfect sire for tracks like Southland, Jacksonville and Derby Lane.

We enjoyed a visit with Linda Russi this week. It was great that she was finally able to see the
farm and meet her pup. We had a nice cookout last night with the Stivers and had a nice time visiting. We let her participate in every daily activity and routine on the farm. She was here to meet Group Rooster when he first arrived as well.
I have also heard that there is a seriously fast Igoby Brady pup. Word is he will be arriving via Kevin Blaske next week to Tri-State to run for the Geter Kennel. We wish Greg and connections the best of luck with this talented youngster!
We have several broods in now for trans cervical inseminations. And I will be doing my first TCI with frozen semen as well. If all goes as planned I will open it up for all to come in for FI.
Thanks to everyone who patronises our farm and stud dogs.

Pictured is Hanks Cody. This beautiful shot is from the talents of Chris "Coach" Grieb of the B&J Kennel for which our dear boy Cody runs. Cody won another top grade race for Henry Howe this weekend and Hanks Madison won his race as well.

It has been a Rumbleful weekend full of racing. Out of ten Rumble pups on yesterday all but two hit the board. Rumble has firmly cemented himself as the #1 import in America today.

The Rooster will be landing tomorrow!!!! We are all on pins and needles waiting his arrival in Boston. He already has females booked so we need to get him here and semen frozen as quickly as possible as Paul Kopa will be shipping his good bitch to Texas this week for him! We are checking our own To Shy To Say daily as she is due to break season any moment and will be going to the Rooster.

Word from one of our best breeders is....his Swahili Eile's can run! Target track for them is Lincoln!!!!

One of the Red Thunder pups was due in Palm Beach this week. Look for this pup to be schooling on soon!!!! The first litter is so good they have already repeated the mating!!!! Sharon and DQ Wiliams were blessed with a litter of 7 Red Thunder babies recently.

Bouncing Bucky breedings continue to stream in. If you want to breed to Bucky or have been considering him for your program, now is the time to jump. As of August 1st he will be $500 and we will be discontinuing any free breedings at that time. We thank all of your who have patronised him.

We hope that everyone had a safe and healthy Fourth Of July weekend!
