Well...the broods have not stopped flying in! We are busting at the seams! We have all managed to keep un-stressed and calm! Business is booming and we couldn't be happier. We thank everyone who entrusts us to implant their valuable broods.
Park Top (D'Arcy) will be due to whelp March 30th and we are looking forward to her 2nd litter. Her litter of beautiful Maryville Rumble* pups are an awesome sight to behold in the sprint field and we look for great things out of these youngsters.
Deco Deano has indeed made another stakes final! We wish him, owner, Henry Howe and the entire team at B&J Kennel the very best of luck with "Dale"!
Chris Stivers is continuing to heal from his surgery and should be back on the farm sometime in March. UK Assistant trainer, Jade Alleway will be here helping out whilst Chris is recouping. Jade and I will be making a full "tour" of the Florida greyhound tracks highlighted by the Sprint Classic at Derby Lane. Not sure of our exact route or schedule but we look forward to seeing as many people as we can on our trip.

Pictured are "Junior" and "Tiger". They are son and mother both adopted from us by Elizabeth Bryson. I have encouraged Elizabeth to enter this photo in the Night of Stars photo contest! How sweet! Junior looks very protective of his mum!
We have been incredibly busy with broods in for implants. We are so full we had to bust out temporary crates and we have another hauler arriving tonight. We had haulers here Sat, Sun and now today! Three days in a row! I told Dr. Barber we all need to take our happy pills this week and not get too overly stressed....especially since she is out of town for a therio board conference Fri and Sat!
We have refreshed Dr. Moses' supply of Maryville Rumble* semen and added Bouncing Bucky and Swahili Eile* to the roster available through him. We will be restocking Dr. Holden at Spiro Vet in Spiro, OK this week as well.
Henry Howe's litter of Fuzzys Cannon's out of Greys Eaglewings will be schooling on this week at OP and the Dolly Madison litter is on for maidens and official schoolers. Packer Backer owned by Henry and I ran the best of the 3 that have been on for their maidens finishing 2nd by a nose. Good luck and safe racing to all of our B&J Racers this week!!! Special luck to Deco Deano!
Well wishes to our own Chris Stivers as he is recovering from foot surgery. He will be off of work at the farm for 8-12 weeks.
KB's Maddancer is back at home and VERY entertaining. She is quickly becoming the kennel clown. Ummm....a pen won't hold her in...she makes surprise appearances in the kennel!!! Dancer tweaked both ankles and we will see if we can work her back in a couple months. In the mean time...she can entertain us all.
Maryville Rumble breedings are WAY up......five breedings last week...that I know of. Swahili Eile and Bucky have both been flying off the shelves as well. The latest was Flying Alone for Swahili Eile*.

Here are the Swahili Eile* pups, Blade and Duchy at 4.5 weeks. They weigh well over 10 pounds and are growing like weeds. Their great sire as been very busy lately and now has semen available at Dr. David Moses in Ocala, FL.
I also have sent Bouncing Bucky semen down to Dr. Moses. We now have semen on Bucky at all NGA approved facilities.
I also need to comment on the recent discussion on the message boards about imported stud dogs. We have brought over sires that are well suited to the American tracks and the stamina and durability that they demand. When considering an imported stud dog you must be mindful of the differences in track configuration, radius of the turns, as well as the distance the dog is capable of running. As a rule of thumb, minus 25 yds. from a dog's best distance in Ireland and you will have approx. the distance he is capable of running here. For instance, a dog that can barely make the 550yds at Shelbourne would be hard pressed to make 525 yds. here in America. You want a STRONG 575 yd. dog that is extending at the line. Also pedigrees dosed with distance blood is important. You will note that top American breeder, Vince Berland, regularly imports "Westmead" females for his stud dogs here. The "Westmead" dogs are noted for their strong staying abilities. We have imported dogs who we KNOW could stay a strong 550 yd. course here in America, are bred in the purple and were raced at Ireland's premier track, Shelbourne Park in OPEN CLASS competition. Anything that we import for use here has months of homework behind him.
Racing....Oneco Mc Dreamy is on at St. Pete tonight! GO DEREK. Both Packer Backer and Baby's Got Heart will be on for their maiden races this weekend at Orange Park. This looks to be a litter with serious ability. We thank our "teammates" at B&J Kennel for getting these youngsters ready to go and schooling them on in dominating fashion.

The Dolly Madison litter by Dodgem By Design schooled on nicely, headlined by, Baby's Got Heart for co-owners Henry Howe and Brett Gerst with a big win. Also a huge come from behind win by Hanks Dolly. Hanks Dolly should be on for her maiden now.
The phone has been ringing off the hook for the sires here the past few days. Swahili Eile* has been a big request. We thank each and every one of you who patronize our top sires.
Once again we are full with broods in for implants and stud dogs in for collection. We had a bit of a break during the Holidays and are making up for it now!

I am sending more Bouncing Bucky semen to Dr. Law as well. Don't forget we are giving away FREE BREEDINGS on approved females!
Oneco Mc Dreamy hits the Derby Lane oval in the first race of the matinee tomorrow. We wish owner, Linda Russi another winning trip! GO DEREK!
Doug and Donna Allen are in Palm Beach this week and will be at the track on Saturday night to watch John McEuen run in person. Good luck to the Allen's and all of their track dogs!
That is about it from here...I have a busy, busy day tomorrow....stud dog coming in for collection, broods in for implants, broods inplanted and leaving...Eunice and Dancer coming home...plus I need to freeze semen and get it shipped out! Whew....and it is supposed to be cold tomorrow. Stay warm everybody!

Pictured is wee "Duchy" and "Blade". They are Swahili Eile* pups owned by Doug Allen and myself. Very healthy HUGE pups.
I received excellent news from Bob Rosko in California this afternoon....his female was ultrasounded today and has seven Swahili Eile* babies! We wish an easy and healthy whelp!
I froze semen on Bouncing Bucky today and put up another 8 vials. I was extremely pleased with the high count and quality of his semen! I will be forwarding the next tank to Dr. David Moses in Ocala, FL. Don't forget contact me to get your female pre-approved for a breeding to Bucky! He is the heir apparent of Brett Lee in this country!
Good luck to the Davidson Kennel in West Palm Beach! They have three Maryville Rumble* pups entered in the prestigious He's My Man Classic at the Palm Beach Kennel Club.

I want to thank everyone who has enquired about a breeding to Bouncing Bucky! We are very proud of him, his accomplishments on the track and the future of his offspring. We believe he is THE Brett Lee son in this country and we are offering a rare opportunity to breed to this great champion free to your approved females! We now also have vials at EZ Greyhound Farm in TX.
Please check out the latest Roper Report! Martin has some extremely insightful and useful tips and observations about imported sires!
Chris' Cache highlights the schooling races of Oneco McDreamy purchased by our friend Linda Russi and bred by Pat Begley. McDreamy aka "Derek" ran a very strong and impressive school Friday night for the famous D'Arcy Kennel in St. Petersburg, FL.
We are told that Danica Driver has shucked a nail and will be off for a bit down in Palm Beach for the B&B Kennel. Bernie has also said that Meet The Creeper will be off at least another month with an injuried whip muscle. He pulled up his last start.
Joey Lingle as told us that the Maryville Rumble* pups in training are progressing nicely. At this early stage he feels they will be suited to Southland.
