Jade Alleway has arrived and we are having a wonderful time. She has gotten to witness an AI breeding of Swahili Eile* to JR's Prelude, the surgical implant of Dolly Madison, sprinted pups, played with young pups, fed the farm etc. Martin Roper came by today to pay her a visit and see how all the pups are progressing.

Jade and I are planning our trip to Florida which will be highlighted by the Derby Lane Sprint Classic. I look forward to see some of my Aussie and Irish friends while there as well! "Dad" Tim Cahill and "Mom" Cindy O'Connor are meeting us at DerbyLane for the evening on March 1st. From Derby we will tour tracks, take in some attractions, see Daytona Bike Week, shop at the St. Augustine Outlet and end our trip with the B&J gang up in Jacksonville! We are looking forward to seeing as many people and greyhounds and tracks as we can in a weeks time!

Congrats to Baby's Got Heart for Brett Gerst and Henry Howe......another win. Block raised, B&J trained! A winning combination!

An oldie but a goodie.....Meet The Creeper is back! Back in Palm Beach but this time with veteran trainer Bernie McClellen and the B&B Kennel. "Cueball" schooled this AM and looked to be back to the "old" Cueball with his dramatic late kick. I love this dog and I hope he can win me a couple more before he hits the couch!

Well Wishes to Jade's dad, Colin, on a very speedy recovery from his auto accident. We are hoping Colin will be out of the hospital by the time Jade returns to England.

Plans are in the works....the English Derby just might be in my immediate future!!!!

Pictured is a gorgeous Fine Silver* x Fuzzys Raven pup owned by Carey Tamerius and raised by Penny McDonald. Penny does an awesome job with Carey's pups!

Jade Alleway is enroute to the US right now and we will be picking her up at the airport this afternoon. Her father, Colin, was involved in a very serious head on collision in England on his way to work. He is currently in intensive care. Jade wanted to cancel her trip but Colin insisted she come over to the US as this trip has been planned for months. We wish Colin, who is one of our regular chatters and a great friend to us, well wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Jade and I will be departing for Florida later next week. First track will be Derby Lane! We have an appointment to meet Ardkill Jamie as well as tour the D'Arcy's kennels to meet some of our own babies and a meeting with Pat and Randy Floyd to meet Brady Thomas and Hometown Boy! Top Australian trainer, Rob Britton will be there as well as many other Australian greyhound fans. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. From Derby Lane we will definately be visiting our "home team" in Jacksonville - the B&J Kennel to see everyone and see our babies who are down there running. The rest of the trip is up in the air....Disney World is a possibilty. We want to see as many people/tracks/ kennels as we can.

As usual Dr. Barber and I have been crazy with implants...as soon as a load leaves more come in from all directions!

Doug Allen's Rumble pups will be going to the McMillon Kennel in Tri-State and three to MJG Greyhounds in Florida. We are pretty excited about this crop of pups. Good luck to Doug with his Rumbles!

We have discussed setting up a blog for Jade. I will see if this is something she wants to do when she gets here. We will be posting tons of pics from our Florida trip too!

I just recieved a phone call from Roger Knauff and Fuzzys Derby (Craigie Whistler x Greys Freeflight) just whelped a whopping 13 pups with 11 survivors. He now has 18 Swahili Eile* pups. He doesn't have enough runs to accomodate all of these pups so he will be offering some for sale at tattoo. These will be the absolute first Swahili Eile* pups available for sale anywhere and they are beautifully bred out of Mary Butler's best bitchline. If you are one of the people who has enquired about wanting an Eile pup....here is your chance to pickup one of the firstborn at a reasonable price. Roger's phone number is in the NGA Directory and I suggest you call him and work out a deal if you want one. He said he would sell about 6-9 of the pups. Between the litter of Fuzzys Derby and Greys Dancin Lady. Both Butler bred and raised females. These will be first come first served and sold at tattoo. They will go fast.

And for those of you who don't know...Greys Freeflight is a littersister to the dam of Valoris who is the dam of Dreamy Blossom. This breeding also is an Australian/Irish/American cross.

Congrats to Roger Knauff on his new litters!

We had a nice visit today by Elizabeth Bryson and her son and the two pictured on the left....Lp's Tiger and her SON, "Junior". They have bonded like no other and it is marvelous to see the two interact. Elizabeth is a regular visitor and was amazed at how big the two Swahili Eile's have gotten!

Packer Backer won his maiden start today for Henry Howe and myself in a mighty speedy puppy time of a 30.97 at Orange Park. Thanks to the entire B&J team for all of their good work with our pups!

Danica Driver ran a nice race for me yesterday. As usual was completely capable of winning it...but chose not to. This time she was handed a "bore in" ticket. Hopefully Bernie will get that out of her before her next start. I am still absolutely certain that she is headed to the breeding barn when done. She is as fast as she wants to be, is a nice 67# female, and is beautifully bred.

Fine Silver's brother, Disguised, has a few pups showing up at the tracks in Ireland. Comeontheblack just won a maiden puppy race at Limerick. This is what I was waiting for and hoping for.....Disguised appears to be throwing pups that come from off the pace in Ireland. Disguised was a top class 525/550 yd. dog in Ireland. Their littersister, Frazzled, was bar none the fastest bitch in Ireland when she was running. Silver was the top class 575 yd. brother. So...as of right now I am very confident Silver will throw strong 550 yd dogs and possibly even some who could go to the backside! This bodes very well for Silver's US stud career.

Red Thunder was bred this week by non other than DQ Williams!!! We received a breeding report in the mail today and I think this speaks volumes as to the depth of this young sire. He will have some extremely nice pups making a showing at the Nationals for Dottie and Tony Morris along with Elizabeth Paquette. We cannot wait to see the debut of Thunder's first offspring!

Bouncing Bucky is literally flying this week. I think it is becoming apparent as breeders do their homework who the best male was in the litter....and the resounding consensus is BUCKY! The breeding community is stepping up and chosing Bucky for their top females. A Keith Dillon bred and raced female was bred to him this week! An AA from Tri-State was bred to him this week! Another AA from Tri-State was bred to him last week! All top class females from top class kennels!

We thank everyone who patronizes our sires. We believe in each and everyone of them!

Godspeed to my little buddy, Larry The Lurcher. Larry suffered a stroke this weekend and we chose to humanely euthanize him this AM. We will miss him. He was a victim of the "Orange County Rescue". A pet horder had over 60 dogs in her house.....mostly sighthounds. This poor guy was starved and living in his own filth. I can't tell you how much joy Larry brought to us here. We will miss him.

Baby DOES have Heart. "Tinker" won AGAIN for Henry Howe and Brett Gerst. The good news is that Tinker's mom, Dolly Madison is in season and will be bred to Maryville Rumble*! Dance Of Dreams from the phenominal litter of the D'Arcy's currently racing at Derby Lane was purchased by Henry Howe and is also in season! Miss Dancer will have a date with Mr. Rumble as well!

As usual we have been busy, busy, busy. And we anticipate a farm chock full of new hopefuls in the coming months!

Bob Rosko reports that Rosmore Lady Luck whelped her litter of Swahili Eile* pups this weekend. All are HUGE healthy pups. They averaged over 1.5# each!!!! We will be posting pics of them as Bob has already sent a nice one in!

Also...welcome to the brood barn Oooga Chockah! Chris Stivers will be posting some of Oooga's AA races from Southland....they are a MUST see! She will be bred to Bouncing Bucky when she breaks season.

Speaking of.....Bouncing Bucky has been a VERY busy young stud dog. He was bred to Keith Dillon's phenominally bred bitch, Sweetest. Sweetest hails from the Mc Millon kennel at Tri-State. And in from the Johnson farm of Sissonville, WV is K Angel Tamra (Craigie Whistler x Jr's Tamra) also in for Bucky. I had Tamra for the beginning of her brood career here and I can say she was a VERY nice female. This bitch has some very nice AA littermates! These two broods should throw extremely well with Bucky!

Next week.....the arrival of Jade Alleway of the Chris Allsop kennel in the UK!!!!

Seems like as soon as we think we can breathe more broods come flying in from everywhere and anywhere to be bred! I cannot remember it ever being this busy!!! I must say though that Dr. Barber and I have stayed calm and cool and we are humming right along and haven't missed a beat. Thank you all for using us and patronizing our stud dogs!

Speaking of....it was reported to me by Carol Staggs that our own Red Thunder was bred yesterday at their facility by none other than DQ and Sharon Williams!!! That bodes very well for Thunder's future as a top stud dog!

We got Oooga Chocka home today. She reminds me so much of Whistlers Ike...I got a little nostalgic! She is a very tall, long female and will be taken to Bouncing Bucky as soon as she breaks season.

JR's Prelude is being timed right now and will be bred to Swahili Eile* as soon as she has ovulated. The first Eile pups here look fantastic and we want more!!!

Packer Backer runs tomorrow night for Henry Howe and myself at OP. He is up against a tough DQ dog but we say "GO FAVRE"!!!!! This litter really looks to be firing away and I think they will be a nice top grade litter for Henry!

Yes...it's a name you haven't heard recently....HONDO DINGLE*!!!! The biggest and baddest of them all stomped an international field in the Popgun 600 at Thurles last night to defend his title! It was a blistering time as well! When I heard Dingle has trialed at Clonmel I was as skeptical as the rest of you.....but champion trainer, Graham Holland proved all naysayers wrong and Dingle emerged once again as a winner!

Baby's Got Heart won today for Henry Howe and Brett Gerst in an absolutely BLISTERING time for a maiden pup!! There are more where she came from and we look forward to this fantastic litter breaking in.

JR's Prelude is in season and will be bred to Swahili Eile*. We have had many people wanting pups from Swahili Eile and if she has a decent sized litter will offer some for sale.

Oooga Chocka will arrive here on Tuesday and will be bred to Bouncing Bucky as soon as she breaks season.

We are slam bam full of females here for implants and once again we thank everyone for their business. The goal is large, healthy litters of pups and we do everything humanly possible to ensure that happens!

Check out The Roper Report...it was updated today!!!! VERY interesting read!!!!
