Pictured is the phenominal Farloe Black*. Black is on the premise and ready for stud duties. This fellow simply dominated last year's Irish Derby rounds. He was for a time last year, bar none, the fastest dog in Ireland. I am quoting several Irishmen when I say that. As I was writing this diary, I recieved a call from a breeder wishing to breed to "Black" I will have semen available at KB's Greyhound Farm on Friday of this week on "Black". This is a very serious dog and he deserves the attention he is already receiving in the stud barn.

Bar The Devil has drawn the "hot" trap 4 at Shelbourne for Round 2 of this year's Irish Derby. We wish the Rooster Syndicate the best of luck with our future stud dog! Who by the way is getting enquiries of his own. It sounds like there are quite a few ladies waiting to meet him!

Toxic Rocket is now in permanent residence. We had a bit of a scare with him as his semen was unfreezable upon arrival. I immediately conferred with Dr. Barber and we put him on a variety of medication and supplements and I am very happy to report that I collected him today and put 4 vials in our tank! This is 2 more vials than anyone has ever got on him. That shows what proactive veterinary attention can do to turn a bad scenario into a happy one.

Maryville Rumble* pups continue to impress with top grade pups at literally all major tracks! He had pups make top grade this weekend at Dubuque. The Iowa Breeders continue to patronize him at a very sharp clip. We appreciate their continued business!

Plans have been finalized for Jade Alleway (UK Kennel Help of the Year) and I to attend the 2009 Coursing Festival in Clonmel. We will be staying at the Shimba Lodge B&B for the festivities. I am hoping to visit several farms and tracks whilst in Ireland. I will also be spending a bit of time with Jade at her kennels and going racing with her at Monmore in England. I hope I get to meet as many of my Irish clients as possible. I am really looking forward to the trip.

That's about all from here. We are waiting patiently for broods to break season. Several are due in and we are anxious to get them bred.
