This has been a very busy week for us. We have done implants literally everyday as well as collecting and freezing semen. Jr's Prelude is in labor right now and we expect to be seeing our wee Group Rooster* pups this afternoon. Congrats to Dick Gerst and Dick Ciampa who have already purchased several of the pups in this most anticipated litter. With the word out on Prelude's first litter by Fine Silver* we feel these will also be exceptional babies.
We were visited this week by Norm and Janice Rinaldi of New South Wales in Australia. They arrived Tuesday AM and just left a bit ago. What incredible people. They are heading to Florida in the coming week and will be meeting up with the B&J Kennel in Jacksonville as well as being guests of the Palm Beach Kennel Club. They will continue on to Derby Lane and the D'Arcy Kennel. With a quick stop to meet Pat Begley and tour his farm. They will be in America for several more months and we are hoping they decide to attend Spring nationals in Abilene. I told them we will meet again if not here, in Australia! Whilst here they sat in on several TCI procedures, looked at progesterone data to understand how to properly time a breeding, watching the collection of semen and assisted with schooling a dozen pups on the whirlygig. We had great meals and many laughs and a good time. They will be missed! Thanks to Leon of the Seastrom Kennel for suggesting they visit!
I will update as soon as Prelude has completed her whelp.
